This policy explains what personal data interiordecordesigns.in and the Interior Decor Designs Android appcollect, why, and the choices you have. We follow the principles of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023. Last updated: 7 July 2026.
1. What we collect
- Homeowner enquiries: name, phone number (OTP-verified), optional WhatsApp number, city/locality and project details you provide.
- Store purchases: name, email, phone and payment status. Card/UPI details are processed by Razorpay and never touch our servers.
- Professional accounts: studio details, contact information, KYC status, wallet and purchase history.
- Usage data: standard analytics (pages visited, device type) if analytics is enabled — no sale of data, ever.
2. Why we collect it (purpose)
- To match your enquiry with verified professionals — your contact details are shared only with the professional(s) who purchase your enquiry, never more than three.
- To deliver purchased digital products and send order/download emails.
- To operate professional accounts, wallets and lead delivery.
- To prevent fraud and abuse (e.g. OTP verification, rate limiting).
3. Consent
We collect enquiry data only after you tick the consent box on the form, and verify your number by OTP so no one can submit your details without your knowledge. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 6).
4. Sharing
We never sell personal data. It is shared only with: (a) the matched professionals described above; (b) service providers strictly needed to operate the site — Razorpay (payments), Supabase (secure data hosting), email/SMS providers for delivery and OTP; each bound to their own privacy obligations; (c) authorities where the law requires.
5. Security & retention
Data is stored with row-level access controls; lead contact details are hidden until a verified professional purchases the enquiry; payments are signature-verified; downloads use expiring links. We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as law requires, then delete it.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing info@interiordecordesigns.in from the email/number you used. We act on verified requests within a reasonable time and in line with the DPDP Act. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
7. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions. If analytics is enabled, it is used in aggregate to improve the site; we honour applicable opt-outs.
7a. Affiliate links
Some pages contain affiliate links to third-party stores such as Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, Interior Decor Designs earns from qualifying purchases made through these links. The price you pay is unaffected. When you click an affiliate link we record the click and your country (to send you to your local Amazon store) — nothing that personally identifies you.
8. Android app
Our Android app is a browsing companion to this website. It does not require an account and does not collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts or files. It reads only our own public catalogue (products and guides) over a secure connection. Purchases made from the app happen on this website in your browser and are covered by the sections above. If you allow notifications, the app uses Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging to receive announcements about new products and guides; this involves a device-level push token handled by Google (see Google's privacy policy) and is not linked to your identity by us. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings, and uninstalling the app removes all locally cached data.
